Why coaching?  Our working lives are busy.  Many of us are wearing several different hats and we’re working within a changing environment that often requires us to make decisions quickly, whilst also maintaining relationships with those around us so that we can call on support when we need it.  We are challenged to innovate and solve problems on a daily basis, but when we are short on time, or feeling the pressures of the many different requirements of our lives, this can be really hard to do.

business coachingA coaching session offers the individual the time and space to talk though, think about and discuss issues, challenges and aspirations.  During the session there’s time to explore options and have someone play these back to you so that you can evaluate what the best option is for you. In these times of uncertainty, making time to focus our attention on the things that we want to move forward with, even just for a short while, is invaluable.  It’s uplifting, liberating, empowering and motivating.

The Survey Initiative has been supporting leaders and managers in making decisions around employee engagement for many years. Our approach has always been that of a coach who believes that the leader or manager has the answers within them.  We can advise and make suggestions, but we are there mainly to ask questions that help the individual uncover the best answer or solution for themselves and their organisation.

We have a team of experienced Executive Coaches who have supported a wide range of individuals working in all kinds of different sectors.  Just like The Survey Initiative, they are positive in their outlook, solutions-focused, friendly and highly experienced.

Coaching encourages individuals and teams to grow in confidence as managers and leaders.  Some leaders have an ongoing coaching relationship with an Executive Coach, but short, sharp 3-6 session interventions can also be hugely beneficial in helping people to move through blockers or challenges that they may be facing.  As well as identifying a resolution or solution for the challenge, coaching also helps individuals and teams to develop stronger thinking and decision-making skills that benefit the individual, their team and the organisation on a much more whole scale manner.
