The Challenge
Cloudfm is a fast growing national company. It was vital for the management team to understand what motivates their staff and to see how they could enhance employee satisfaction.
What did we do?
To gain a thorough understanding of what was going on within their teams The Survey Initiative created a global survey to gather feedback and ensure the company’s plans align with staff requirements.
Cloudfm trailed the survey with a series of communications, including eye-catching posters that introduced the survey and explained the rationale. Managers were also briefed so they could discuss the key messages to their teams, and the survey was positively received as a result.
Results
Cloudfm was fairly confident before conducting the survey that employee satisfaction was strong, but the results were even more positive than expected.
Their engagement scores were particularly high, including questions relating to management style, realising potential, integrity and a shared understanding of strategic goals.
Cloudfm maintained a high level of engagement within all performance levels, but one area they could improve, although they still enjoyed higher than average statistics, was employee voice. This is perhaps to be expected in such a fast-moving company, however they are committed to addressing this aspect as a priority.
Action
The results were shared with all employees and a number of measures have already been put in place to increase employee voice. Cloudfm developed a series of initiatives to increase the level of staff feedback, and to encourage a systematic two-way dialogue throughout the company.
The future
The future looks very bright for Cloudfm. They’re a rapidly expanding business that has analysed their employee engagement results and used this data to shape future projects. The employee research will also be used to improve staff engagement and satisfaction at every level of the business, as the outcomes from a repeat survey in a year’s time will hopefully testify.
“The Survey Initiative is an extremely professional and efficient organisation who worked closely with us to ensure a successful outcome. We would strongly recommend them to any company looking to gain a better understanding of its team with a view to improving staff satisfaction and engagement”, Michelle Morgan, Group Human Resources Manager, Cloudfm.
