I was recently lucky enough to have been invited to a VIP event held by the Natural History Museum, one of our long serving clients, for their suppliers and donors.

The reception was held at the fantastic display of the titanosaur Patagotitan mayorum (one of the largest known creatures to have ever walked our planet), and it was an experience that left me in awe. As a visitor, I was fascinated by the exhibits. But what really struck me, as I looked around at the crowd of visitors milling about, was the unseen work that went into making this exhibit possible. The huge team that works together behind the scenes to make the museum run smoothly and efficiently.

The team at the Natural History Museum is made up of dedicated and skilled individuals who are passionate about their work. From the scientists who spend countless hours researching and studying to the curators who meticulously plan and design exhibitions, every member of the team plays a crucial role in bringing the museum to life. It is their hard work and dedication that allows visitors to experience the wonder of the natural world.

It’s not by accident that the team work together so well to achieve such great displays. Their employee engagement strategy is clearly working. This is not only borne out in the results of their employee engagement surveys and their commitment to keeping their finger on the feeling within their organisation – especially during times of change – but is evidenced in the everyday running of this magnificent attraction and leading science research centre.

My visit to the Natural History Museum was a truly unforgettable experience. Whilst the displays were impressive, it was the unseen teamwork of the museum’s team that left me amazed. Their dedication and skill are what make the museum run smoothly and allow visitors to experience the wonder of the natural world.
